Lost my Wolfie on Saturday

One time I was playing Sinead O'Connor singing "Nothing Compares to You" on my phone. Her voice so clear, so plaintiff. Then Wolfie climbs up on the bed and nudged my face, his abundant whiskers tickling my face. He heard distress and was there comforting me. I shut off the song. I pet him and reassured him. I haven't played that song since. But losing him a couple days ago, I hear the words from that song in my head; "It's been so lonely without you here, Like a bird without a song." He was a stray and I was lucky enough to have him for 14 of his 15 years.

They are never with us long enough. One of our vets once said that we bring our critters into our lives knowing that we will likely outlive them, but we do it anyway because life is so much better with them in it.

Sending a cyber hug -

Love Wolfie's very distinctive face! These guys know us better than we know ourselves, I swear... and they do all they can to help us through our problems and tears. You were so lucky to have him for all of 14 of his 15 years, tho even that isn't enough, if we had our way. Except for his striking face, my Sweetie was an orange and white, marked like Wolfie. I lost him two years ago, and the pain is still enough to bring me immediately to tears. My only consolation is I'm forgoing any "pearly gates" when I die. I'm headed to the Rainbow Bridge... where my loves are waiting for me. Let us dance across that bridge when the time comes, and embrace Wolfie and Sweetie and all those we've lost once again; never to have to lose them again. Until then... I send you hugs and warm embraces of sympathy.

What a beautiful cat Wolfie was. Although your time together was not nearly long enough, may you cherish his memory always. I extend to you my deepest sympathy and I know Wolfie waits for you at the Rainbow Bridge.

Much love,

It's hard when you lose, such a kindred soul. He sounds like a sweetheart, he looks like he was full of personality, too. Keep his memory with you, close to your heart. May you find peace, and bright, joyful memories of your time together. At some point, if you want to adopt another fur pal, there are so many who need a loving home.

We have three year old sisters, Tigger and Bootsie. Tigger is a comfort, letting me pet her. Bootsie is more upset, hiding and avoiding contact. My husband assured me that Bootsie did come out for her afternoon Churu treat, so she'll be OK. We are all missing Wolfie, the leader of the pack.
