We thought playing Jolly Ball with Shadow might help her acclimate to her new home.
It did.
Shadow saw a Robin one day and chased it. Never even got close.
We bought Shadow a real honest-to-goodness dog bed. She loves it.
Turned out, though, she liked our bed as well. And still does.
She adapted the porch ramp for sunbathing.
Her large yard gave good rolling-around ground.
She found a fellow who likes to give belly rubs.
One day we took a short walk in the woods.
On our way home Shadow met her neighbor dog Freya.
A delivery driver brought us a package and bonded with Shadow.
Right away Shadow took a cookie.
And then skritches.
From then on Shadow's been glad to take deliveries.
In her new home Shadow was (and is) a happy girl.
And every once in a while she gets a Good Girl Bone.

I'm also pleased you included a jolly ball in her quality of life.
Years ago, back at the old farm, a rider gave Shadow her first Jolly Ball. The rider's horse didn't want it. Well that red Jolly Ball quickly became Shadow's favorite thing in the world.
In fact she liked it so much she chewed the heck out of it, to where we had to get her a new one. Blue this time.
In time she chewed through the handle of that one, so now she's on her third. So far it's holding up, and she treasures it as much as all of them.
