A Beaumont man caught on camera kicking a cat as high as a football field goal was sentenced to over three years in federal prison Tuesday.

Donaldvan Williams, 30, was sentenced to 40 months after pleading guilty Tuesday to federal charges of animal crushing and aiding and abetting, according to the U.S. Attorney's Office for the Eastern District of Texas. Animal crushing covers serious bodily harm to animals, including crushing, burning, suffocating, impaling and drowning.
