POSTED IN THE AFRICAN AMERICAN GROUP.But you can never delete the Truth.
AmeriKKKa is a shit sandwich which has engaged in every single awful act they accuse other countries of.
It's just not important to the Dominant Culture because of who the victims were. . . and are.

(41,174 posts)You can't delete their invention of gospel, blues, jazz, church life; music companies & studios;
can't delete their newspapers, magazines, banks, businesses and BET. -- over centuries.
You can't delete their massive art history, architecture, scientists, inventors, saints, AND cuisine -- over centuries
Just one example: "High on the Hog" by Julia Fields
Take my share of Soul Food -- I do not wish
To taste of pig Of either gut or Grunt from bowel Or jowel
I want caviar Shrimp souffle Sherry Champagne and not because
These are the Whites domain but just because Im entitled --
For Ive been V.d.d enough T.b.d enough and Hoe-cake fed
Knock-kneed enough Spindly leg-bloodhound treed enough
To eat High on the Hog.
Ive been Hired last Fired first enough Ive sugar-watered my Thirst enough ---
Been lynched enough Slaved enough Cried enough Died enough
Been deprived --- Have survived enough
To eat High on the Hog.
Keep the black-eyed peas and the grits
The high blood-pressured chops and gravy sops
I want aperitifs supreme Baked Alaska-something suave, cool
For Ive been considered faithful fool from 40 acres and a mule
Ive been Slighted enough Sever-righted enough And up tighted enough
And I want High on the Hog.
For dragging the cotton sack On bended knees In burning sun
In homage to the Great King cotton
For priming the money-green tobacco and earning pocket-change
For washing in iron pots For warming by coal and soot For eating the leavings from
Others tables
Ive lived my wretched life Between domestic rats And foreign wars
Carted to my final rest In second-hand cars
But Ive been leeched enough Dixie-peached enough Color bleached enough
And I want High on the Hog!
Oh Ive heard the Mau Mau Screaming Romanticizing Pain
I hear them think They go against the Grain
But Ive lived in shacks Long enough Had strong black beaten Backs long enough
And Ive been Urban-planned Been monyilanned Enough
And I want High on the Hog
AND you can never delete the National Museum of African American History and Culture in Washington, DC.

(1,480 posts)I'm white. Even at a young, young age I could see slavery was wrong. Then Jim Crow, WTF? And I've wondered all of life how black people in America get up every morning and go out into the world and be treated like dirt. America has yet to admit it's wrong doing to black people, native American people, Asian people, Latinos, disabled people, women, poor people......etc. Now is the time when all that ugliness is on full display with that nasty brute in the white house, to say, "No More!" Truth and Reconciliation Now! How ugly can a human be? We have a history full of sick examples. How have we allowed ourselves to be manipulated into not doing anything about it for so long?
All I can say is, I see it, I see how it has affected every generation since the civil war. It is the epitome of ugliness. Our government owes reparations to every group it has subjugated. Which is all most everyone, but rich males. How can such a small number of men control so many people? It's time we bind ourselves together and say, No Fucking More! We are the many; you are the few.

(35,928 posts)Black Americans have a quantifiable time, and ability to prove the systemic disparity.
1. Are you, your parent, or grandparents negro/black on the 1920, 30, 40, 50, 60, or 70 Census
2. 1932-1968 Implementation of Red Lining and everything that implies.
36 year 5% tax credit. Not means tested. Built in Sunset. I'm 52, no children - it dies with me. My dad's parents and he were on the census those years.
It gives parity in wealth accumulated by even the poorest white Americans (Social Security, Food Assistance) that was denied us by the New Deal.
It was raw deal.
Blanket reparations? We would be last and receive the least - even though we built the country.
