is it fortunate there is a choice indecision wracks each move
and this is a time worth savoring living freely and unbound
no longer listening to god’s voice and no innocence to prove
although the past seems known it is wrapt in much mystery
the truth held in misconception the false taking the forefront
once the doubt has been sown it is simple to rewrite history
rearranging of every recollection erasing the trail of the hunt
a steep path narrow and jagged a descent towards the ocean
as raw roiling waves crash ashore in an unstoppable thunder
creating a bleakly obscene ragged disturbing dizzying motion
a world that time should abhor amidst the absence of wonder
one step forward into a future abandon the safety of pretense
strains the bindings of the sutures at the edge of convenience
