Theres no real outstanding college team this year, so anyone that can get into the playoffs will have a decent chance.

5-6 teams being dominant. The 4* and 5* players now just hit the portal and start elsewhere.

A star for a mid-major can transfer to a power conference school. The Oklahoma QB came to the school after playing well for Washington State in the Pac 2 to give an example.
We have a free market for everything else so I support it when it comes to college athletics, plus I think it makes the quality of the sport better and that it is more fair to everyone involved.
