Related: About this forumI love nature cannot wait to hit these secluded ponds to fish.
I have to wait recovering rotator cuff surgery. Yet we took a drive yesterday and twenties friend flew his drone my first experience with this technology ever and amazing the view we saw just like a bird.
I have not fished these three ponds in maybe twenty five years back then they were awesome. And besides these ponds there is a creek that flows through the game lands then back into public lands.
And its great fishing this creek rock bass or perch muskies we have even caught trout out of this creek as they wash in from trout streams or small streams that run through farmland.
As for these ponds you were able to drive into them now no more.
As the game commission closed the dirt road years ago after a bridge washed out from flooding.
Then they let nature return as they restored the damage that the road did years back. And today it is all wetlands.
Yesterday from the drone view we saw deer bedding down cranes herons ducks.
Years back fishing these ponds once i even saw a black bear in a field when you could drive into them and then it was secluded now its returned to natural habitat.
I know as you read this dyslexic shitty punctuation ramble youre thinking what a weirdo all excited.
Yet my thoughts on this as we were in there yesterday on way in we saw two cars thats it no human presence or pressure of over fishing.
I told the fellas go now as in dont wait for me to get cut loose and be able to go. Yet youre gonna have to wear hoodies long pants even face netting because of the mosquitoes and boots.
Even years ago the place was full of copperheads yet the fishing definitely worth the annoyance and you know copperheads wont bother you its their home.
Yet as usual just keep one eye on the ground walking in and one eye where youre making for and youll be fine.
And Ive even caught snapping turtles out of those ponds if you like turtle soup.
Yet Im thinking afternoon evening fishing then night fishing I cant wait.

(3,128 posts)Was in Apple Creek, in ND.
Brothers and i walked to the creek, sat, on the grass, with our 1 99 rod reel combo, and threw bullheads back in the water.
Once, the bank, where my youngest brother was sitting, gave way. I just reached out and pulled him out.
I was 15 years old, at the time, he was 9.
Apologies, back to OP
The best fishing, is sitting on grass in the peaceful place.
(And, I made my initial money, building, fishing boats)
