Around here it's mostly churches (and perhaps a synagogue and an "Islamic center"--to not use the word "mosque&quot that sponsor them.

Officially they're open to all, but often LDS or mosques will have practices or restrictions that non-believers would find inconvenient or their parents find incorrect or vaguely preachy.

Some elementary schools sponsor cub scouts. That's permitted (neither encouraged nor discouraged).

More political organizations shouldn't.
