What better way than to kill more astronauts with a "government run" flawed space vehicle.
after the manned moon mission is awarded to a commercial venture, what is left for NASA? robotic missions to Mars ( BTDT )... EOS ( no point we are done collecting climate data )... deep space missions? Telescopes? That's about it.
oh well, I enjoyed my 10 years there. Did some work I was really proud of. They killed a close co-worker of mine with Columbia on what was intended to be a "technology demonstrator" ( the Space Shuttle ).

(17,471 posts)So, when the Orange Assface took office they fired 20% of the workforce, now his third administrator (Dumbo) was told to lay off contractors (75-80% of the people at NASA work on contract) and rebuild the department with mostly NASA employees. Everything he does is confusion and chaos. I guess he thinks you can find rocket scientists easily. What a dope.
