Related: About this forumAnyone else getting a white band at the bottom of your screen
when you rec a thread ?
Its across the bottom, about 1/8th of the screen on my phone blocking text etc
I logged out to log back in, but before I logged in, the white stripe was there already. I logged in and it was gone, but back when I reccd a thread. It goes away if I reload the page.
I think it is ad related

(534 posts)So I think it might be a place holder for an ad that did not display. As was suggested in the OP by dweller.

(178,312 posts)I'm using a desktop. It's just a bit over one inch so isn't distracting. It's just there.

(27,210 posts)Its occurring more often ?

(23,204 posts)As per usual when it comes to odd things happening on DU, this appears to be related to a change made by our ad provider which has produced unexpected results.
You may see the white strip appear intermittently while we work on getting things back to normal. It's annoying, but it's nothing nefarious.
I thought it was probably ad related
you guys are the greatest
