Is there a DU forum on all things real estate, such as getting your real estate license and working in the industry? (Original Post) Polybius Jun 8 OP
Your best bet is probably checking your state's particular requirements for a license. Ocelot II Jun 8 #1

I think there are different requirements in each state so maybe your state's info would be on line Deuxcents Jun 8 #2

In my state you need to take 90 hours of pre-licensing classes, pass a state exam, and associate with a licensed real estate broker, but every state probably has its own rules.

We only need 77 hours over here. I just wanted to see if there's any real estate discussion on DU.

And some very interesting out of country buyers. I learned quickly that I had to wear many hats because each buyer or seller had their own set of circumstances so I had to know about state, local and county laws, mortgage requirements, environmental regulations. I had resources that I could rely on with titles, loans and zoning because it’s impossible to know everything! I learned a lot about people and my one thing that made my life easier was to make sure I was working with qualified buyers and motivated sellers..no one wants to spend time and marketing dollars spinning wheels. Best wishes to you
