Related: About this forumJust got back from my walk at the "Y" What a diff exercise can make.
I'm borderline, not quite diagnosed. (BNQD?) so I'm keeping everything in check with diet and exercise. It's a shame that we all don't live in close proximity to each other because it would be a great idea if we could schedule trips to the "Y," just to keep it going.

(529 posts)1. Exercise is a must for diabetics.
Everyone should do it! We need more free or cheap places like the Y. I started walking and lifting weights 3 times a week for an hour each time (45 min. walk plus 15 min. lifting free weights) a little over a year and a half ago and that dropped my blood sugar levels by 100 points. Tomorrow I get my A1c done, so here's hoping its still helping.
Good luck on keeping your health under control!

It would be nice to walk together to the left!
