Former Obama Administration official Van Jones says “The roof is collapsing on the Democratic party establishment tonight” as Mayor Zohran Mamdani’s allies notch victories in an early display of his influence.

Progressives Brad Lander, Claire Valdez and Darializa Avila Chevalier — all backed by Mamdani — won House primaries in New York, CNN projects, offering a preview of the ideological battles to come as Democrats look ahead to 2028.
