Related: About this forumLet's talk about Europe strengthening while the US weakens under Trump and French nukes.... - Belle of the Ranch
Well, howdy there Internet people. It's Belle again. So, today we're going to talk about Europe strengthening while the US weakens under Trump.
Before we get started, down below will be a link for the fundraising effort to benefit Project Rebound at California State University Northridge. It's a program that has produced incredibly great results over the years and we've been supporting them for a while. Check it out and help formerly incarcerated people move forward.
Okay, so we've talked about how Europe is setting itself up to be a major power on its own and become less reliant on an increasingly weakened United States. Trump's rhetoric and erratic behavior have made the US be widely seen as an unreliable security partner. His Iran regime change operation that so far has brought allied Bahrain closer to regime change than it has Iran isn't going to help that perception. If you missed it, pro-Iran protests in Bahrain have erupted.
Back to Europe. Europe acting in concert has most of what it needs to be a major international player. But I've said in the past that it would need more nukes and a wider range of delivery capabilities to successfully tie its national security to international security and make it unthinkable to attack them. There will be a link below. That idea got push back from a few Europeans who for plainly obvious reasons don't want more nukes in Europe and from Americans who said Europe didn't have the stones.
One of my favorite comments was the farm mom has a very deep understanding of strategic warfare she came up with while milking the cows. Well, while I was taking care of the horses today, I don't have cows.
I heard that France's president has announced, I have decided to increase the numbers of warheads of our arsenal. My responsibility is to ensure that our deterrence maintains and will maintain in the future its assured destructive power.
The country is also working on nuclear sharing agreements where they basically loan out their nukes and place them in other countries to widen their delivery capabilities. Talks have reportedly started with Belgium, Britain, Denmark, give up on Greenland, Germany, Greece, the Netherlands, Poland, I'm sure the Russians are going to love that, and Sweden. If agreements are reached with just a few of them, their delivery capabilities will be greatly enhanced.
One question that has already come in repeatedly is whether this makes things more unstable. No, not really. It's throwing a match on an already raging fire. It doesn't help, but it doesn't by itself make nuclear war more likely.
Now for Americans, this is the EU moving even further away and the US losing more influence and power. Our ability to force project relies heavily on US bases in Europe. Part of the unspoken agreement is we get bases. They stand under our nuclear umbrella. They're buying their own umbrella because US foreign policy has become too erratic, unpredictable, and unprofessional.
People who chanted Make America Great Again are spearheading the decline of the American Empire faster than any anti-interventionist in history. Not through ideology, but through incompetence.
Just a friendly note to our friends on the other side of the pond. I hope you all do better at controlling your governments when you achieve world power status. The governments will want to start force projecting and they'll want to engage in military adventurism. I've lived there. I know almost none of you want that. I hope you can prevent it from starting because once it starts, it's so hard to stop.
Anyway, it's just a thought. Y'all have a good day.
