2. Same here! I thought that the House members put together an impressive and compelling case

But too many Republican senators didn't pay the least attention. We can only hope that by now enough of them are waking up and sick and tired of the felon's blatant lawlessness.

3. Or at least wake up to the fact their "careers" are going to go kaput

if they *don't* show a backbone, Rhiannon! I still think the repugs will fall out, each man for himself, no matter what. they don't act from any practical or moral standpoint, only a monetary or egotistical standpoint.

Maybe if there were to suddenly be a run at the hardware stores and Walmarts on pitchforks and tar?!

4. LOL! Which would be well deserved!

And rather than standing up for the rule of law, a number of Republicans are giving up and going home. We keep hearing that the Midterms are going to be a Democratic landslide - but there was news today that the felon-in-chief is planning to challenge voting rights at the states' level. All we can hope for now is that the courts continue his unprecedented losing streak...

5. I'm afraid this election is going to be a basket case...

there is so much chaos going into and out of the election. Between fighting TO vote, and then fighting to make sure all the votes get counted correctly... people are going to be exhausted once all the votes are counted. And this time, if there's even a whiff of hanky panky, the DNC better start calling in the lawyers and filing suits. Hopefully they've gotten the message that we're tired of our leaders not wanting to have anyone think we're as litigious and contrary as the repugs... grrrr. But truly, it's voter apathy borne of exhaustion I worry about. That can screw things up coming and going... both in getting people to the polls, and in them having the stamina to withstand his outrages after the votes. And trump can run anything into the ground for absolutely f*ing forever! I mean, he's already started in with the mayor's race in CA. Like he can give a damn about the mayor of a city in any state.
