Do I think that will happen in her lifetime? Absolutely not.

I definitely agree that she shouldn't try to run any time soon, but she's only 35 right now and has a lot of years ahead of her.

Will it get noticeably better in MY lifetime? I'm 75. What do you think?

I think it might just happen before it's too late for AOC, but that time is not now. In 20 years, though? Maybe I'm a cockeyed optimist, but I wouldn't rule it out.

Don't underestimate it. It is older by centuries if not millennia than racism. It's also less obvious and well-concealed. by those who harbor it. The bulk of the misogynists who lost us the 2016 and 2024 elections by staying home did not announce it in advance. They just stayed home and pulled the rug out deom under us.

is a natural move in 2028. Then, she can build a national consensus.

Or is that office a handicap? She is building a national following with being a Senator.

What makes it a "natural move?" Do you mean a career move?

I am a big supporter of AOC, by the way.

IS highly effective! I love her verve. When or if she runs for SENATE (time for Schumer to retire) --- that is a natural move for her to gain power and influence.

Keeping in mind that the Senate is a very different kettle of fish than the House. The House seems to be more accepting of mavericks.

I guess that is her decision, if or when.

I hope before I die I could shake her hand and just say thank you for fighting for the country I served during war time. “That” is the “Thank You For Your Service” I wanna hear and see. “That” makes me feel like my service was not in vain. To me, she could be the “Knight on a White Horse” coming that Newsome seems to think is non existent.
Lead, brave woman, and bring out the best of us to stand by your side and fight. Never a fight more important than the one we need to be in together, here and now.
I want an Army of AOC’s and Kamala’s and Jasmines, Racheal, “Randi”, the female Helo Pilots serving in Congress and Senate, that served in war, to take down this rot from within.
Dem women…..or an army of trump women.
Loomer, MTG, Podium Barbie, ICE Barbie, All the Fux Barbies, Boobert, Mace, frightened Murkowski, bread bag over shoes pig farmer Earnst, concerned Collins,
Damn it’s like two different species.
I salute and will proudly stand in battle with the democratic women.
Anybody think MAGAT’s are not sending life threatening attacks to AOC?

Jeanine Pirro can step off. Those kids receive Social Security because their parents died. How can you go on TV and pretend that you are some sort of political pundit and not know basic facts about how government and Social Security work? These MAGA Fox morons are a plague on American society. They are so stupid and malicious. They were raised wrong. Thank God for AOC and people like her.

a national election.

That being said, the next two years are going to be a disaster, and even if we win both houses of congress in 2026, it is highly unlikely that even if trump was impeached, we would have the votes to convict. Which means it will be almost impossible to change the make-up of the Supreme Court, and very likely in the next four year the SC will either stay the same or become worse.

The nation has been propagandized by reukes and especially since Raygun and swallowed the propaganda hook line and sinker, analysis hasn’t been taught in American schools, nor civics since his reign.
