over tariffs and even if it's a small
war it's still coming in an
unnecessarily big box this is just
another
day today marks Donald Trump's first 100
days in office not that he's demanded
anyone take notice we're 100 days into
the second Trump administration and our
progress so far has been historic he is
the most consequential American leader
of the 21st century this has been the
most effective most impactful in a
positive sense 100 days certainly in my
lifetime president Trump has had
phenomenal successes in his first 100
days it is a huge success in terms of
these first 100 days yes the enthusiasm
for deer leader has been unanimous among
asskissers sychophants and cult members
alike but unfortunately like with any
celebration someone always has to come
along and ruin the fun amazon will is
now going to be displaying how much of
an item's cost is derived from tariffs
now Amazon is going to show you if you
go to their website or their app and
click and I'm going to buy this it will
show you how much of you're paying
because of President Trump's tariffs how
dare they what do they think this is
some radical socialist freeloving
economy where the true prices of
products are just wide out in the open
what's next transparency on our food so
Amazon also known as Bezos's GoFundMe
site for his space jaunts decided that
they were going to make the current 145%
tariffs on Chinese goods that hidden tax
paid by consumers not so hidden since
60% of sales on their site come from
smaller independent retailers who rely
on imports from China and this makes
sense considering prices are about to
change a $10,000 container of goods
coming over would have a
$14,500 tariff on it we have I mean
that's more than the cost of the goods
is the cost of the tariff well when you
put it that way these tariffs start to
sound like a bad idea needless to say
this assault from Amazon was decidedly
unwelcome at today's press briefing this
is a hostile and political act by Amazon
holy a a a hostile and political
act quick tell Pete Hegseth to assemble
the troops and then text everyone where
he's going to strike why didn't Amazon
do this when the Biden administration
hiked inflation to the highest level in
40 years and I would also add that uh
it's not a surprise because as Reuters
recently wrote um Amazon Amazon has
partnered with a Chinese propaganda arm
um so this is another reason why
Americans should buy American it's
another reason why we are onshoring
critical supply chains here at home to
shore up our own critical supply chain
uh and boost our own manufacturing here
do you see what happens when you dare
across the magasphere and bear in mind
Amazon didn't propose raising prices
they simply proposed disclosing them and
this White House responded by taking a
metaphorical crowbar to Amazon's new
Corvette Caroline Levitt held up a
freshly printed article illustrating how
Amazon recently partnered with a Chinese
propaganda arm and the details of that
article may as well be a fire hose of
irony so a few years ago Amazon was
marketing a collection of President Xi's
speeches on a Chinese website and
somebody posted a negative review which
if I'm getting my Mandarin correct is a
no no so all of a sudden Beijing drops
the hammer they demand that Amazon stop
allowing any customer ratings or reviews
the main way their site drives traffic
if they wanted to continue to be in
business over there and Amazon complied
currently on its Chinese website
Amazon.cn CN the comment section has
been disabled for the government
published book and it has no customer
reviews or any ratings to be fair
neither does Steven Miller's book How to
Make Love Miller Style but that's for a
completely different reason but this
White House is furious that Jeff Bezos
got cozy with an administration that
traffics in propaganda this White House
the one that bans seasoned journalists
for not acknowledging our newly minted
patriotic bodies of water and replaces
them with Pulitzer Prizewinning
reporters like this what does the
administration think about the
priorities we're seeing from Senate
Democrats in terms of illegal immigrants
instead of the work that agencies like
ICE and DHS are doing with the Trump
administration can you please let us
know if and when the Trump
administration is planning to suspend
the writ of habius corpus to circumvent
these radical judges who are infringing
on his article 2 powers and to start
shipping out illegals in mass will you
guys also consider uh releasing the
president's fitness plan he actually
looks healthier than ever before
healthier than he did 8 years ago and
I'm sure everybody in this room could
agree uh yes uh one quick followup does
the president like his ass kissed from
the outside or does he prefer when you
crawl all the way inside and just take
up residence there by the way the very
next question in today's briefing was
about what this administration would say
to Americans who are going to feel the
very real pain from Trump's trade war
what is your message to the American
people uh in terms of letting them get
through this disturbance and the outcome
being greater and a greater good for the
American worker the American people the
American families i would say trust in
President Trump trust in Trump my god it
really is amazing watching these Trump
officials walking in goose step uh lock
step and by the way why should we trust
in Trump the guy said that home prices
would come down food prices would come
down that he'd end the war in Ukraine on
day one not for nothing but when Amazon
promises to get Americans something on
time it happens am I a little worried
about how I'm able to get a pack of gum
on my doorstep at 2:00 in the morning 1
hour after I ordered it sure but that's
not what we're talking about right now
so Amazon proposes transparency the
White House declares war and of course
it was just a matter of time until daddy
got involved the president was so
angered by this he called up the founder
of Amazon himself Jeff Bezos to complain
about the potential plans that were
being reported on wow i think it's clear
where this White House stands they hate
it when a guy like Bezos aligns himself
with leaders who control information i'm
sure they were furious when he shut down
the Washington Post endorsement of Kamala
Harris before the election or donated a
million dollar so he could have VIP
seats at the inauguration or paid $40
million for the rights to Melania's
definitely groundbreaking documentary
they don't respect that kind of person
they want somebody who grows a pair and
says enough is enough i will not be
pushed around jeff Bezos was very nice
he uh was terrific he solved the problem
very quickly and uh he did the right
thing and it's a good guy because of
course Jeff Bezos caved the reason being
that this administration relies on
ensuring that none of its partners Bezos
included deny the reality that they're
creating and when someone does pierce
the bubble of that kayfabe they get big
mad their entire ideology is built on a
house of cards and if any one of them
even starts to bend the whole thing
falls apart they didn't start hosting
separate press briefings for MAGA
influencers because they thrive on
intellectual debate when it's revealed
that our deportations have been
mishandled and in defiance of the courts
they just trot out someone to say it's a
lie when the truth comes out that DOA
savings have been miscalculated by the
billions they scorn you for pointing it
out and accuse you of benefiting from
some elusive USAID slush fund when the
entire world watches butthurt voters
storm our capital in an effort to
violently overturn an election that
their president clearly lost they just
rename those people peace loving patriots
who are simply paying a visit to
overturn a rigged election and then
pardon them this White House does not
mind one damn bit if Bezos coordinates
with a propaganda arm they just want to
make sure that it's ours
