BSKY: Political Violence in America Is Here -- And It's Killing Our Democracy [View all]
Adam Kinzinger is wrong here as he speaks of both siderisms.
A lawmaker and her husband were murdered. A senator and his wife nearly killed.
The suspect had a hit list.
And what did we do?
We blamed each other. We justified. We spun.
Political violence isnât comingâitâs here. And weâre normalizing it.

This wasnt random. It wasnt senseless. It was intentional. And it should have been a moment that froze us in our tracksa moment of shared grief, outrage, and resolve.
But instead, what did we do?
We opened our apps and jumped into the spin cycle.
We pointed fingers before the facts were in.
We went looking for blame, not truth.
Elon Musk immediately blamed the far left.
Donald Trump said he might call the governor of the statethen, almost reflexively, turned around and called that same governor grossly incompetent.
It was the same broken instinct weve seen before.
When Trump survived an assassination attempt last year, voices on the left instantly claimed it was staged. Not because they had proofbut because it was useful.

Since the J6 committee I have grown to like Kinzinger. However his both sides take on this is wrong, dead wrong.

One of the responses to him on Bluesky:
When did a Democrat murder and attempt to murder lawmakers and their spouses, Adam? When did Democrats violently attack the Capitol and try to hunt down the Vice President to hang them?
When did Democratic lawmakers & donors push bullshit conspiracy theories??
