...as much as he was famous for "not liking to read," he read enough about his escapades with Cheney to know his best bet was to settle into a quiet, anonymous retirement. "Out of sight, out of mind."

He was famously pressured to "SPEAK OUT" against Trump during last year's election, and he declined. My personal belief is that he did so in order to avoid re-litigating his own shady past, because Trump fans are ADDICTED to "whataboutism," and any DIRECT criticism by Bush against Trump would be met with choruses of "He lied the US into Iraq"...and the irony is that if MAGAts threw that back at him, it would only be to "own" a Trump critic, and not because they had any great understanding of...or gave a rat's ass about...Iraq.
