being accused of appeasement or ass-kissing, getting what's good for the U.K. in the process. I think it's because he's done this with a wink and a nod so that he and everybody else in the U.K. who has paid attention know he's treating his relationship with T as a big joke, and he's laughing and most citizens of the U.K. are laughing along with him instead of at him and appreciate that Starmer is getting beneficial treatment for the UK by flattering this idiot. Of course the idiot is totally unaware he's being patronized and chuckled at behind his back.
