...as I know that as a Christian, the notion of "thy will be done" is meant to be that it's turned over to God, and not as some kind of threat; I wanted to see the context, so I read her remarks.
Per the transcript, she said "Eleven days ago. God accepted that total surrender from my husband and then called him to his side. More than anything, Charlie wanted to do, not his will, but God's will. And over these past 11 days, through all the pain, never before have I found as much comfort as I now do. And the words of Our Lord's Prayer: Thy will be done. God's love was revealed to me on the very day my husband was murdered. "
Whether or not any of us agree that what Charlie Kirk did was following God's will, I personally don't see this as some kind of a threat against Democrats or anyone else. She talked about forgiving the man who killed her husband. She talked about not hating enemies but loving them. She mentioned that the state would do what they do re: the death penalty for the killer, but that she didn't want his blood on her "ledger" to answer for when she dies and faces judgement.
If it was a veiled threat of some kind, I don't see it, but YMMV.
