Like the AA people say:
First you have to admit you have a problem.
Btw, I had a good friend who went to AA meetings every week and really believed in them. He invited me to go to one with him and I did. BOY did I gain a whole new appreciation of the mountains some people have to climb! Never imagined. Im not a drinker, so it just wasnt my world. But it WAS a SERIOUSLY powerful experience. What an education!!! If anyone who doesnt have an alcohol problem has a friend in recovery - who invites you to one of these meetings, DO IT! GO! Go SEE and LEARN and GAIN NEW WISDOM! HIGHLY recommended! The humanity and understanding, empathy and forgiveness, its all intensely there, all over the room. Youll leave more thoughtful and less judgmental - AND more grateful when its over.
