9. George is much "bigger" than the public's general take on "country singers."

I'm pretty well versed in Country Music. It was the first music I heard as a kid, in my parents' house. My mother played ALL of the Grand Ol Opry artists. So I am pretty adept at separating the real deal from the posers, and George is the real deal.

An album came out last year, "Petty Country: A Tribute to Tom Petty." As the name implies, it was a lot of A-list country stars like Marty Stuart and Chris Stapleton, doing Petty covers. It included George doing a live version of "You Wreck Me" that was all KINDS of wonderful. And, I'm a big Petty fan, so I wouldn't sit still for weak covers of his song. The whole album shines, and that includes George.
