I live in Minneapolis, not far from the place where Renee Good was murdered, and it's worse than you might imagine. Restaurants and other small businesses have had to close. Kids are afraid to go to school. Whole families have been unable to leave their homes for weeks and have had to rely on volunteers to bring them food. ICE agents are targeting non-white people almost at random, including even off-duty city police officers. And anyone who just observes and tries to record their activity runs the risk of being tear-gassed, roughed up and detained for hours or even days. They even arrested a five-year-old kid! And they'll come to your city, too, if there isn't enough public outrage on a national level to get Congress to do something. There's an enormous, very organized resistance movement here, but we need all the help we can get from the rest of the country. They're trying to crush us and they won't stop with us.
