I had a kind of epiphany last week when I drove through my town and saw all the familiar sites, from the homeless lady wearing her Santa garb, to the old neighborhoods with classic homes lovingly cared for by immigrants and older white people alike, to the familiar faces at my grocery store, to the "youths" as my hubby and I call them, leaving the local HS in droves. Just normal scenes, but beautiful in their own way. Everyone free and peaceful. I haven't been feeling appreciate of this or anything else lately, thanks to trump. And that's what he wants. So I decided not to give in to that anymore if that makes sense.
