and DeSantis has yet to endorse any of them as a successor. Rumors have swirled this year that the governor's wife, Casey DeSantis, could run, and there have been speculations — along with TV commercials touting him — that DeSantis' new Lt. Gov. Jay Collins could step up.

Here is my pick: David Jolly (DEM): Former Republican U.S. representative from Florida's 13th congressional district.
