They killed a poet!
A mother
A daughter
A sister
A citizen
A target
Her voice
Will not drown
In her demise
And her words
Will still exist
Before our eyes
And with this
Painful lesson
And horror give?
Hope that this poet will live

They killed him
A guy who helped a lady
And since discovered
He helps people like me
I'm a Veteran
He was a nurse
And definitely a better human
Than this ICE curse
Which has brought
Another soul to fall
An unending horror
Hiding behind "the law"
And it will be his life
Not his death
That will put light
On this darkness
The strife
