Assuming, of course, a bridge.

Isn't the idea here that those big SUVs came from the U.S.?

You could get them there on ships. But planes seem more likely.

Assuming, of course, which I don't, that this is reliable info.

But I hope this gives you a way to think about how planes might fit in.
