(16,241 posts)I will start by saying find the best oncologist you can and listen to them. Let yourself feel what you feel.
Next up. Make a spread sheet for the Meds you will be on and what time to take them. Get yourself a monthly pill holder (Trust me.)
I used a large dry erase board to follow my weekly meds and appts. it worked out well. When I was taken off a med, I could erase it.
I am serious about this. At one point in my treatment, I was taking about 30 pills. I have no clue about your ins but get preapproved to use the pharmacy in the treatment center. Let me put it to you this way, after treatment you don't want to make a stop on your way home to get an Rx. Whoever is your ride can pick it up at the center, while you are getting treatment.
My best wishes for you.
