consider it like this , you are for example from New York City and you meet someone from Alabama. You know they speak english but its the way they say things , things you might not know or recognize .. The same happens when a person from TOKYO travels to Osaka .. there are differences and regional phrases spoken a little differently. If you studied in Tokyo and moved to Osaka you would learn the differences right away.
