I realize this may be a bit snarky but one of the reason's I bought an electric car last September was I didn't want to have to deal with gas price fluctuations (or availability) when sh-t like this happens. Been around long enough to remember what happens any time there is even a hint of trouble in the Middle East, which just about all the time. When someone keeps kicking you in the gillies, at what point do you finally say enough and move away from them?!?

I've had lots of conversations with my significant other about gas prices or even availability when I bought my electric car. Yea there are gas stations on just about every corner where we live, but there are a hell of a lot of electric outlets in places and you'd be surprised how many places you can just pull up and tap into a free electric charging station. And if you're going to argue about price, you can buy an older electric car for under $25k. It's not for everyone, but if you going to constantly complain about gas prices (after buying an over sized SUV or pick up truck getting 15 mpg) then I don't have a lot of sympathy for you. At some point, you have to live with your choices and stop blaming other people for doing the same thing to you over and over.
