I was of draft age during the Vietnam war, and i struggled over whether to define myself as a pacifist, but concluded that I wasn't. Had I been alive when Vikings landed to pillage villages in Ireland from whence some of my ancestors came, I would have taken up arms against them. It would not have been a "good" option, just the one I would have chosen then. In my actual case I was prepared to go to Canada, except by chance I drew a very high number in the draft lottery.

Trump launched this war without seeking the consent of the American people for it. It wasn't his choice to make.
