Pulled up to the pump yesterday, 20 cent increase in unleaded overnight. But diesel, which had actually calmed to below unleaded prices recently, is now 25 cents per gallon more expensive than unleaded. For those keeping track, it’s $3.39 for unleaded and $3.64 for diesel here in the least expensive part of Alaska.

Just bought a Ford Escape last month, not a hybrid though, just the 3 cylinder turbocharged gas engine, and as for an EV the charging network here in the north country is pathetic. But I enjoy incurring a little karmic debt knowing that all of those assholes driving the tiny penis compensator huge trucks are pretty soon not going to be able to afford to drive their piece-of-shit-sub-10-mpg toxic masculinity virtue signaling device. My quiver of gas vehicles range from 33 mpg in my Subaru to 21 mpg in my older Toyota Tacoma.

If I lived in the lower 48, I’d had pulled the trigger on an EV long ago.
