Called the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), the accord was signed by Iran -- as well as the USA, UK, France, Germany, Russia, China and other nations -- in order to restrict its nuclear arms program, ensure inspections and verify compliance with promises to forgo nuclear weapons. Trump, out of spite or pique, wrecked that. And today, the world stands at the precipice of Armageddon.
