7. Even if Mark Epstein turns out to be the sender, the logical leap made by the author is a bit extreme IMHO

All the public can see in the released document is this:

Sender (email addy redacted): “Do you remember the name of the Gynocologist [sic] that you used to send your victims to?”
Epstein: “ny?”
Sender: “Yes, many years ago you used to send them to a gyno in NY who once commented something to the effect that you were keeping him in business singlehandedly.”

That’s all the substantive context we see in the DOJ‑hosted PDFs. There’s no visible lead‑in like, “I’m trying to help [X]” or “I’m writing an article” or “the lawyers need the name of that doctor,” and no follow‑up in the same thread explaining why the author is asking.

Regardless of it being Mark (or a lawyer or a journalist or an assistant or whoever), "It is also clear, from messages with his close contacts, that he was sending women to gynecologists and other physicians so frequently that it was common knowledge among some in his circle" is an awfully wide-scale proclamation, given it's based on one email from one person, who seems to be asking because they read an article somewhere, not because they had insider knowledge.

And yes I read the whole article, which provides little addt'l evidence to back the author's thesis
