Just spoke with a friend who is Syrian. [View all]

She explained that the whole ME region is erupting. Syria has closed it's border with Lebanon, and the people from the south of Lebanon where Hezbollah is (where a friend of hers has gone to take care of his mother), are being evacuated to the north of Lebanon, because they can't get out, and they don't know what will happen.

She said the whole war is spoken of in terms of the ancient disagreement between Abraham's sons as to who is the rightful heir of the land that was promised by God. Honestly, that is how everyone there still speaks about life there.

And then we have Trump and Hegseth, not understanding any of this, swatting the hornet's nest....
