10. My favorite republican was (and still is) my late Uncle John.

Monday

He was an Annapolis graduate and most of his career served on old-school diesel submarines, which he allowed us to tour once in the mid sixties... they are way smaller that you imagine, btw.

He and my mother got into knock-down drag out fights over Nixon at Christmas, but I still remember him very fondly. He never married or had children, but had a "girlfriend" who he cared for through all the years of her breast cancer treatments, improvements, relapse, until her death.

He was one of the good ones and would have hated, ABSOLUTED HATED, the orange shitstain.

I'm almost glad he's gone and not a witness to recent events and this timeline.
