Erika Kirk appointed to Air Force Academy board [View all]
President Trump has appointed Erika Kirk, the widow of conservative activist Charlie Kirk, to the Air Force Academys Board of Visitors, having her replace her late husband.
Consisting of 16 members, the Board of Visitors is responsible for making recommendations to the Defense Secretary for changes at the Air Force Academy. The board provides an annual report on the military institutes morale, financial state and academics.
Also on the board is Sen. Markwayne Mullin (R-Okla.) Trumps recent pick to be the next secretary of Homeland Security as well as Sens. Tommy Tuberville (R-Ala.), Kevin Cramer (R-N.D.) Ted Budd (R-N.C.) and John Hickenlooper (D-Colo.), among others.
The board did not announce Erika Kirks appointment though her name now appears on the list of members.
