There no applicable cases to cite because, AFAIK (as far as the internet knows), there has never been a case where a defendant was charged with treason for aiding and abetting a nation the US had NOT declared war on.

The closest recent case would be that of the John Walker Lindh, the American Taliban dude, who went to fight for Afghanistan, and was captured.

The Rosenbergs were convicted of espionage, not treason.

Jane Fonda was never charged with treason.

And Trump, so far, has not committed the crime of treason.
