Putin is providing intelligence to the Iranians to help them target our military assets. This makes Putin an Iranian ally in this war. Trump is giving aid and comfort to Putin. We can insist on the finer points of the law like Merrick Garland coiffing his hair as we stroll merrily along into nuclear war, or we can acknowledge what’s happening. Quibbling over the law in an existential crisis is how democracy surrenders to fascism.
