8. Isn't that something that should have been thought of before going to war?

They've recently experienced casualties due to insurgent shelling at US bases over the long conflicts in Syria and Iraq. They knew our bases along the Gulf were vulnerable to Iraqi and Hout'hi insurgency.
They also know the Iranians aren't "unsophisticated" tribal groups arming co-religionists.
Sure, there's a lot of peasants and empty land, but attacking Iran is rather like trying to take South-Central China. You're walking into a hornet's nest, even after decades of sanctions.
Even after the poor showing the Iranians made during the Iraq-Iran border war, Saudi Arabia and their Sunni Principality chums are still too afraid to take the Iranians on without someone else providing the weapons and cannon fodder. Not because the Iranians can throw numbers at them, but because Iran has equivalent technology, clever leadership, a better educated population, and lots of places to hide decades worth of manufactured munitions and ways to use them.

If Iran, under constant threat from Sunnis, the US, and other international organizations has still been supplying four major terrorist organizations for decades, rule of thumb thinking is that they've most likely only "sold" or given out at most half of what they have over the years.

They're not going to be pumping out mortars and bombs, and the giving all of it away year after year.

And they're certainly not going to be keeping their stockpiles in easy to target warehouses.

Shows me the US Military wasn't planning an attack on Iran until this Administration needed a diversion - or Jarad, Jr., along with their backers Bibi and the Prince, all decided they needed to clear out any possible threats to Mar -A-Gaza and the Jordon River Golf Resort plans before the final push to get rid of those pesky, worthless Palestinians and Lebanese.
