Almost a generation ago and before the prevalence of social media. I have to say that I sometimes despair about young people as well, but as a former teacher I mostly was energized and inspired by them. I'm no Pollyanna, and teaching wasn't all sunshine and roses, but they inspired me every day. I am an eternal optimist when it comes to young people. Unfortunately, in the last election many of them were influenced by the "manosphere" and other social media sites set up specifically to influence them. I hope the Dems have a plan to counteract that.
