(10,945 posts)Why would someone who had unsolicited sex with him in 2019 continue the relationship and then 5 years later become victim again....and not say anything about it. So now a year later in the middle of his campaign she accuses him. Something doesn't smell right but the fallout is already happening.
On April 10, 2026, the San Francisco Chronicle published a story where a former Swalwell staffer claimed that Swalwell, 17 years her senior, had sexually assaulted her on more than one occasion. The article claimed that in September 2019, Swalwell "invited her out for drinks and she became so severely intoxicated that she did not remember the rest of the night. She said she woke up naked in Swalwells hotel bed and could feel the effect of vaginal intercourse." Further, the staffer recounted a similar incident in April 2024, when Swalwell invited her for drinks after a charity gala, "during which she became so inebriated that she only remembers snippets of the night, including pushing Swalwell away and telling him, No, while he allegedly forced himself on her."[132]
Swalwell described the allegations as "lies" and claimed that they were intended to damage his campaign for governor.[
