At long last have you no decency [View all]

This famous statement was given by Army lawyer Joseph Welch to Senator Joseph McCarthy during televised Army/McCarthy hearings in 1954 . Senator McCarthy was attacking "communists" in the Army, part of the disastrous "red scare" of the early '50's.

"Let us not assassinate this lad further, Senator. You've done enough. Have you no sense of decency, sir, at long last? Have you left no sense of decency?" (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Joseph_N._Welch)

This charge has been credited with beginning the downfall of McCarthy's red scare con which had lasted for years.

Bonus 1: McCarthy's attorney during this was none other than...Roy Cohn...Trump's mentor. Repeating...Trump's mentor was Joseph McCarthy's lawyer.

Bonus 2:
Welch, a lawyer, played the judge, a key role, in the acclaimed courtroom film "Anatomy of A Murder" (rated 8.0 on IMDB).

So...
Mr. Trump...at long last have you no decency?
