This was never a clear cut "The U.S. attacks Iran and the conflict is solely between those two countries" deal.

This one triggered migraines all over the globe.

Trump did it based on impulse and impetuousness, with "the best people" (Hegseth) at his side.

He figured a few moments of chest-thumping and spectacle would result in American in the street singing his name and shouting "HUZZAH!"
