2. I don't believe he puts effort into lying.

Neither do the sycophants who surround him. For tsf and his followers and government officials, lying is like breathing. Effortless. He doesn't care if everyone knows he is lying. After all, everyone knows he is breathing, despite our fervent wishes. (Keep it up, Orrex).

I grew up with a narcissistic mother. She lied about everything. She was cruel, and great at projection. My father believed everything she said. My late brother often said, "She IS Trump!" I had to get away from her to learn to trust people. I had to learn for myself, as a child and young adult, that lying was not worth it. I had to make a conscious effort NOT to be like her. I went through years of counseling. So did my brother.

I think it is possible to change this. It will not be easy for people to trust our government again. Other countries may take decades to trust us. We will also have to learn to trust ourselves. My brother and I had to learn that repeatedly.
