It's a problem. It should have been simple to figure out that Al Franken was a good place to draw the line on the "moral panic overdo of Me Too." The whole world, along with the Democratic Party, would have been so much better off.
There's a great book called "How Not to be Wrong" by Jordan Ellenberg. One of the areas he goes into is the idea of too much of a good thing (which I think he calls "linear thinking"
. We take a good idea up to the point where it works optimally, but then we keep cranking until it becomes a bad idea. It's a human bugaboo.
