Her English is atrocious. "Commentator" is old and never was correct, and has been mostly replaced with "commenter". In addition, her use of "has strived" should be "has striven", and why is a hyphen needed in "awkwardly-worded"? Then her "efforts to sell fundamentalism to young people with hip packaging."? Do the young people have "hip packaging"? Sheesh!!
Those were just a few issues that I noticed in a quick read. After that, I probably wouldn't read anything else that she has written. Sad for a "senior writer" to make so many errors in just a couple of paragraphs. My English isn't perfect, but I don't claim to be a "senior writer".
