compliance with the law is controlled by Great Britain.

If Donald had attempted to enter Bermuda he would have been detained and handed over to the International Criminal Court.
So, the questions are:

Did his son not want Donald at the wedding and set it in Bermuda?
And did Donald know what the consequences would be if he went to Bermuda?
