Trump has been accused of many, many things that are, I will concede, way worse than what Platner has been accused of. And his legions of adoring minions shrugged it off and hand-waved it away because he's their guy, he's on their team, and they couldn't be bothered to care if he'd done some really terrible things. And we rightly excoriated them for it.
And now folks are engaging in that same behavior because Platner's on our team, so... that pretty eloquently illustrates what I was saying about values being slippery, I'd say.
